With the D23 Expo only a few weeks away, we will soon be getting official announcements soon, about some of the merchandise that will be available at the event. Until then, here are some of my speculations for Funko's upcoming D23 exclusives.
Funko will be releasing more information on their exclusives next week. They have been teasing they're D23 exclusives for months, now. Saying that we will finally be seeing Star Wars Dorbz at the event. According to Brian Mariotti (Funko CEO), there will be a Star Wars Dorbz Ride as well as a Star Wars Dorbz 3-pack. You can see the video of his announcement here. Dorbz Ride There has actually been a few rumors about this D23 item, circulating online. As of now, the top theory seems to be that the Ride will be Han Solo. Han Solo with The Millennium Falcon was definitely my top pick for a Dorbz Ride (and hopefully a future Pop! Ride). Another great Ride would be Boba Fett and Slave I. Dorbz 3-Pack There has been no information released on the D23 Exclusive 3-Pack. There are a couple of packs I would like to see. -Possible 3-Pack #1:My top pick for a Dorbz 3-Pack has got to be Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca. Especially, if we are getting a Han Solo Ride. It would be perfect, having all the heroes together. -Possible 3-Pack #2: Another great combination would be Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and a Stormtrooper. -Possible 3-Pack #3: Of all my speculations for this pack, I think this combination is the most likely to happen. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Darth Vader. One big, "happy" family. -Wildcard Possibility (Not likely, but I would love to see it): Now, as you can tell, based off of my speculations above, I'm guessing that Funko will stick with classic Star Wars characters for their first Dorbz. But, I personally would love to see a Phantom Menace 3-Pack. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Darth Maul. These Dorbz (3-Pack or individually later down the road) are at the top of my wishlist. What do you guys think? Would you be interested in any of the characters listed above in Dorbz form? What other ones would you like to see? I would love to know.

Enamel pins. We've all seen them. You might even own a few. I do. In the past, I've stuck, mostly, with the ones that have come included with my subscription boxes (loot crate, Funko boxes, etc.), with a few that I got from Disneyland. But I recently got a pin in the mail from someone on Instagram that goes by the name Toymations (PinMations for his dedicated pin page). Toymations' pin is, in my opinion, the perfect homage to the 90's childhood. It is a crossover between Rugrats and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The design (as seen above) features Tommy Pickles dressed as Tommy Oliver AKA The Green Ranger. Being a fan of both of these TV Shows, growing up, I had to have this pin. Toymations did an amazing job on this design, especially when taking into consideration that this is his first design. Overall, this pin is stunning. The design is great. There are tons of details, the quality is very high. I would even say it could compare to the pins made by Funko and Disney. The paint job on this pin is exceptional. The paint has no bubbles or cracks, and all the colors are vibrant. I couldn't be happier with this pin. At the time of writing this, there are about 5 more Tommy Green Ranger pins available. You can find them here. Plus! Toymations just announced their next pin. It is a variant of this pin. Toymations is currently taking pre-orders on a Tommy White Ranger pin. You can find it here. There are currently about 25 of these left to pre-order, and they start shipping out in mid-June. If you are pin collector, or fan of The Rugrats or Power Rangers, I would suggest getting your hands on this pin.
I would also like to add a thank you to Toymations on a great addition to my pin collection. |
